Question Question: Older "Baby Girl" Drip After Urinating

I have a female Yorkie that is 11 1/2 years old. I've been noticing something and got confirmation of a suspicion just now.

On the steps(wood) in our hallway that enters the house I've noticed some drop marks on one side of the stairs.(dried) There's only 4 steps. This is the route baby girl goes up the steps and assumed it was from her. The problem was I couldn't figure out what the drop marks were. ?? I thought maybe it was from when she comes in from outside and the moisture in the grass gets on her coat of hair and she drips as she comes in.

Well, just this early morning I took her out and she did her job and came in. This time I noticed drip marks entering the house and went through part of the kitchen going about 9 feet, making about 8 marks. This reminded me of when she drinks water then drips as she walks away, except this time she didn't drink, just came in from outside.

My concern is to know "Why" she is dripping urine? Since I spotted those marks on the step from previous trips outside to do her job, I put 2-and-2 together and figured she's been doing this for at least a month... maybe more.

What does this mean? Have some of you encountered this with your older Yorkie?

She will be seeing the vet this week or the next for a check-up, but just want to get some preliminary advice, opinions, etc.

Thanks.
