Mochi (9 months old) also has the same problem. It is her first hot summer and I think she is allergic to something during this season. It was so severe that she even cough out a lot something like bubble, transparent mucus. I had to take her to the emergency last week. The vet guess it was allergy and did not suggest anything. So I gave her some Bendrayl (Walgreen version) which I gave her last time after the first emergency call 2, 3 months ago. Now she is all good, just once or twice of reverse sneezing only.
If your babies are totally knocked out by the medicine, my vet suggested to give a little bit less to them. I gave her the liquid Bendryl with a syringe bc I found it easier for them to take.
