I didn't mean to imply that my girls don't bring me stress relief, because they most certainly do. There is only one person on YT who really knows what I was going thru when I got Kalina and how she was the only thing that made me feel better thru that awful time. She gave me sanity and was my best friend; she listened to me for hours and always understood. I absolutely adore my Yorkies.

That being said, I think if I had chronic anxiety I would be unable to handle the stress of owning a Yorkie. I can't tell you how many heart stopping moments I have had worrying about choking, someone taking them, sickness, etc. They are very fragile dogs and there are a lot of stressful situations because of that. Any dog that you come to love will help you to ease your stress, I agree with that and it has, in fact, been proven medically. However, there are other breeds (including those found in shelters like V suggested) that will bring you those same health redeeming qualities without the stressfulness of owning a Yorkie. Just my opinion.
