I wouldn't give any Cesars at all because of how severe his problem is.
Have you tried Science Diet CANNED L/D?
You could soak the Hepatic LS 14 in water or add a little bit of something (mashed potato to it).
I wouldn't add too many carbohydrates because it will dilute the protein too much and I wouldn't add much more protein because of how severe the problem is...
Maybe just a spoon of potato?
