I told you Fri that I had an eye for a good dog and Quaker had what it took to go Best!
Do you realize how rare it is for a class dog to go Best In Show?
There is a long list of AKC Top 10 Yorkshire Terriers that finished in the UKC first. In fact, there is one on the Top 10 right now that was on the UKC Top 10 2 years ago. I am sure Quaker will go on to follow in their footsteps. |
Laurie we are still letting his BIS win sink in! LOL
We were so excited to tell his breeders...they are going to be so excited.
Next weekend we are back in the AKC ring looking to wrap up this AKC Championship this year. He was our first show yorkie and we have made our share of mistakes with his coat and of course we were learning how to handle at the same time.
We had a great experience showing UKC, I wish I would have started there. The judges were so helpful to the newbies and gave an explanation of why a dog was awarded Best Female or Best Male...or why they weren't.
Maia did not have her A game this weekend and found a new hobby side winding...so we have something to work on before July!
Thanks again everyone!!!
