In my opinion you need nerves of steel to raise Yorkies. I would suggest something more sturdy and not so high maintenance. How about a French Bulldog? They aren't high stress dogs, but they have fantastic temperaments, fairly easy to train and care for, and I'm partial to their adorableness!
