He is cute, i keep land turtles or tortoises as we call them in the UK. You need to be feeding him weeds such as dandelions, vetch, plantain, hawkbit. Lettuce is just water content and has no nutritional value. The little outdoor enclosure you have for him is perfect, but maybe you could put mesh on the top to secure him from predators? As long as the temps dont drop lower than 10 degrees celcius he will be fine outdoors. If the temps do drop the ideal indoor home for him would be a indoor rabbit cage, where you can attach a heat lamp and UV tube. He really is a cutie! good luck with him!
