Hubby and I suffered from empty nest syndrome after our youngest moved out. The house was so big and lonely and so were we. We fell in love with the breed and counted every second until our little guy was ready. We are both totally in love with Rusty and he is in love with us. We never had pets inside the house and now our kids are so jealous of Rusty that they make snarky remarks all the time! They say Rusty has more toys than they ever did, LOL. Yorkies adapt well to their owners, so I can't say that he runs our life, he adapted to our life style. We travel and camp alot, so he is used to motels and camping and he likes it. The only thing we can say that he does control is if we have to leave him at home alone, we cut short reunions, dinners, etc. to hurry home to our baby. He likes being home alone though because he catches up on his sleep... we are more concerned with him than he is with us.
