Anyone had any luck selling stuff on Craigslist?
Yes. I had to sell practically everything I had after my husband died...we were in a 3 bedroom house and I'm now in a one bdrm apartment - I tried to keep things that I knew I'd need & kept only my really nice things...but I pretty much sold everything thru craigslist except (what a few great friends bought from me...(you both know who you are) ....The hardest part was doing it alone and watching things I loved walk out the door - but on the upside - I did it

This is my advise....

Don't do this for only 10 bucks...put a decent price on your items because people are going to bargain with you and you can always come down.

Try to screen the people who contact you by getting THEIR phone number & CALLING it - that way you have a record of their number just in case

ALWAYS HAVE A CELL PHONE IN YOUR HAND when they come to your home...

IF you can - have someone there with you when selling

MEET THEM OUTSIDE ...What I did was bring things to my front steps when I knew someone was coming to see unless it was a big item - then I had no choice

Put up your EXPENSIVE THINGS - don't leave anything tempting out for strangers in your house.
