I am totally surprised at how much my life has changed since I brought Sophie and then Daisy into our family.
I took 'pup-ternity' leave for 5 months
I now only work part time, leaving them home alone no more than 4 hours on any given day or bringing them to work with me. I cook more. I hardly ever 'shop', except for the necessities. It's actually brought some peace and maybe a bit of balance to my life.
