Thank you all so much for all of your help and concern for this sweet little baby Dove. Sadly, it passed away yesterday
My hubby and I discovered yesterday that it's wing was indeed broken....and the bone was sticking out
I have pictures, but I will spare you all (I took these before the Dove passed away and was going to post them...but I didn't do it fast enough
) It couldn't fly and I'm sure it was in pain....so as unfortunate and sad as it is, maybe this is best. At least the poor little thing is at peace now and isn't suffering. Stuck in a pet taxi not being able to fly was no life for him/her anyway
We did try, we did everything we could....but it just didn't make it
P.S. - My Peaches ended up killing another one while we were gone today
I walked out in my backyard and not to be graphic, but she had already eaten most of it. I just don't know what to do with her anymore. She kills everything
I know it's just instinct I guess, but we are just so sick of it. I am tired of going out there and finding dead birds, squirrels, etc. It's just sad and depressing
I wish she would stop this!! But I know she never will
