I highly recommend it but not when they are awake. If i ever have Kissy put out for anything, i'll have her done. They didn't have it availalbe 7 years ago when i got her. |
I've always had my pets done whilst they're awake, when they get their vaccination at 8 weeks. None of them have ever even flinched, the chip only goes into their skin not into their flesh so its no more painful than a jab. The needle is like the type they use in hospitals to attach a drip, I've had this done and its really not bad at all! I've even had baby ferrets chipped and they are really tiny, but it never bothered them. I'm guessing a lot of people on here have yorkies with docked tails (its banned here in UK), this involves chopping through flesh and bone
