Rambeau joined a VERY large pack. We have two chocolate labs 100lbs and 110lbs big boys who have gotten into several horrendous fights with each other even though they are brothers. We had two little doxies before we got the boys and the labs were cowed by the little ones. Rambeau weighs 3lbs and tears those two up. He growls, snaps and hangs off of their lips and they do nothing. He even gets into their tug-o-wars and gets thrown about but they never hurt him. Probably because I am the dominant and they know it would not be pretty if they laid a paw on him. However I would never suggest bringing a little dog into this situation and if you did he would have to be monitored constantly. If the big dog is a puppy the older (little) dog should gain dominance easily, just keep an eye on them |
