My Elvira was a biter. I have the scars to prove it. I finally started sticking a toy in her mouth every single time she tried to nip, and that helped, but finally, and don't you laugh, she bit me and grabbed her little face, and I BIT her nose! (I'm 59, and I had never, ever, had a dog that bit like that!) Since then, she'll start getting fiesty, and I tell her I'll get your nose, and she backs down! You should have seen the shocked look on that puppy's face when I did that.
The vet told me to grab her, and hold her completely still against my chest (faceing out) until she went limp and quit. But she though that was great fun. You may want to try that though. Biting her was just a last resort.
