I have a party story for you.
All my nieces and nephews have their birthday and pool parties at my house. A couple of years ago, my sister thought it would be nice for all the kids to make scarecrows at the party.

My sister had bought kids clothing from the thrift store, bought straw from the local farm, and we made the heads the night before. We were going to do the assembling in the front yard (her birthday is in October and we had been having beautiful weather).
The day of the party, it rained. Not only rained - it poured!
We made the scarecrows in my downstairs family room. We cut the strings from the bales of straw, and it went everywhere. The kids had a great time, and we took pictures of each child with their scarecrow, which I printed for them before they left.
My husband and I were finding straw in the family room for months to come.
