I hear ya! He gets in this mode where he is just zooming around the living room like a speeding bullet, and stops every so often just long enough to nip at my pants or hand (if I'm trying to reach for him). It's sooo annoying! I'm glad to hear she outgrew it at a year. He will be one year in another month so hopefully he outgrows it soon!
