The average days to whelp is 63 days. Some go sooner and some go longer. A males sperm can live up to 7 days after he has bred a female. If she was bred by two males then the only way to know for sure who the dad is is to have a DNA test done on all the puppies and both males. The puppies need at least 58 days to become fully developed. I have had some deliver on day 59 and make it but I have never had any pups deliver a week early and make it.
