I wish AKC would cut the age to 7, instead of 10 for bitches...male age is not a problem in my eyes far as harming the stud...I think it is a problem breeding a male non-stop for years, instead of intermittenly for a long period of time.
My Gator son and grandson bred until 8 and 10 with no problems...I have only kept one male at stud until 12 yrs...and his last litter was 4 girls and his first was 6 girls...but lots of males in between...LOL |
