When we first got Rocco he hated his crate too. What kind do you have? We bought a wire crate so he can see us from all angles. I set up his crate with his bed a blanket. I put him in the crate at night next to my bed so he can see us. I used to have to put my fingers in there and pet him so he knew he was going to be okay, then he'd fall asleep. Then when I was home I still put him in his crate, while I cooked or cleaned. So he could get used to it being his little place. I gate off my kitchen with his crate, pee pad and food and some toys. I wouldn't confine him to a crate all day. At least in the kitchen he can walk around a little bit. It takes a little patience...Good luck!
