Donna, I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom. It is wonderful when you can feel that she was in peace as she passed. I too lost my Mom almost 4 years ago at age 81. She had 5 strokes in a 3 month time and sadly lived the last 3 years of her life in a nursing home unable to talk, walk, feed herself, etc. My dad was there everyday to help feed her and take care of her. It was heartbreaking to see her because up until her strokes, she was a wonderful alert vibrant woman who was still running a business and was known and loved by everyone in town. She never wanted to have to live her life in a nursing home, so it was hard to see her go that way.
I know she loved us and knew she was loved and I am sure your mom did too. The pain will pass and you will always have those wonderful memories of her. God bless. I will have you and your family in my prayers.
Sonya
