im a dog trainer at petco in oklahoma...and like everyone has said practice practice practice....so many people come to class and say "yeah we practiced" but i can take one look at the dog and sigh and say...ok "whatever" and back to square one...and 15 minutes a day is awsome...not much time on your part but its also quality time with you and your pet...just be consistent!!!! and you will get results. i am a little biased but...i think im a damn good trainer! LOL but seriously though it does depend on the trainer to some degree. i have had people transfer to my class and only one transferred out. and that was becuase she insisted i teach her how to use a shock collar without trying other methods first...(she was too lazy to try any other method) i asked her to leave. but anyway good luck with everything and go meet the trainer! it is sooooooo important and see if you like what they do. also i always bring my boys with me when i meet the pet parents so they can see my results on my own dogs. its worth a try!!!! good luck. let me know if you sign up! |
