Even if you only have 2 females, there will be times you need to separate them, for many reasons. I am not going to condemn anyone for using a crate or pen to do that. I think I made it clear that I am not referring to cages 24/7. It is certainly your right to make a decision not to purchase from a breeder who uses crates or pens. But the fact that you don't like it doesn't mean they are producing a 'less than desirable representation of the breed.' Method of training and separation has nothing to do with the the resulting appearance or health of the puppy.
I certainly do respect your opinion, and there's nothing at all wrong with it. Not everyone has the same opinion--even knowledgeable people will have differing opinions.
