So Lolly actually didn't kill Rambo or hurt him at all? I can understand her hormones were raging when she was in heat & I'm sorry for your loss of Booboo. I understand that was unexspected since it had never happened B4. Also a new Mother will kill if she feels her babies are at risk. If Kermie did something to make her feel threatened.I am also so very sorry Kermie had to die as well. I am sure you never thought she would do it again but knowing she had new babies & what she had done while her hormones were raging while in heat. Are you a Mother? Any human Mother knows that hormones get totally out of wack after a delivery, I'm sure it can't be much different in the Animal Kingdom. Humans just have Religion and Morals to keep us in line. But even with those things ingrained in us I Mother of 4 confess I would KILL ANYBODY that tried to harm my Children to this day & the youngest is 19. I'm just trying to understand poor Lolly's extreme behavior. Sorry if I get carried away with comparing Animals to People but it seems to work for me.
I personally would not breed an 8 yr old dog and also have talked to quite a few Vets about it since my Roxy will be 5 this year. Out of all of them only two country Vets said as long as the dog is in good health it is OK to breed until 8 or 9 tops. All of the rest of them were from the Chgoland area & SW Suburbs said to stop at 6 yrs. at the very latest. I think it's time you give your poor Lolly a rest & have her Spayed. I'm glad you have made that discission. Then I think you should contact yorkieK9trainer & take her up on her offer. |
