Oliver is going to his first grooming appointment tomorrow afternoon but I'm having some trouble deciding what to get. I live in Florida and my main reason for getting his hair cut is that he seems really hot outside already. Idk, we had my old yorkie shaved a few times because she got matted so easily but I would prefer his hair be a little longer, but I want the hair on his head to stay longer. Is there a particular name for the cut I'm looking for, or what should I ask for?

Also, he needs a bath pretty badly. The groomer I'm going to is very busy and open only two days a week so when I made the appointment today I was expecting to have to wait for a while, but she had a slot open tomorrow. I was planning on giving him a bath tonight, but should I just wipe him down to make him smell nice? If he's going to have a bath at the groomer I don't want to dry out his skin.
