We had a jewelry store for 22yrs and it's amazing how many of our "well-off" customers have cz's in their rings...(some were duplicated to match their 'diamond' to wear out for 'safety' and when travelling) ... If I were to get a cz engagement ring, I would go to a jeweler who does his own work (or with a good rep for custom work) pick out a setting (preferrably one that has 6 prongs and the prongs should be white gold to make the stone look whiter (a gold head makes the stone look yellow) 6 prongs look more authentic-surely no one would question the stone that has 6 prongs, afterall why would you protect a cz with 6 prongs? that's what the 'looker' will say.. and they get dirty just like a real diamond -clean it the same way...and now your jeweler can get them with quality ...Doesn't cost anything to inquire!!
