I thought the theory of crate training is that dogs won't potty in their own beds. So, what difference does it make if the bed is large (and includes people) or small and he is enclosed by himself? The only way this won't work the same as a crate is if he potties in the bed OR jumps out and potties on the floor.

Shelby has been sleeping with us since she was about 14 or so weeks old and she only had a tiny "beginning" of an accident once. She tried waking me up but I was a little slow. (she is now 20 wks.)
I think her sleeping with us has helped with the potty training process. She is soooooooo cozy she sleeps through the night and I usually wake up before her. |
