Well, as long as his gums are pink, he's still drinking water, and you can get him to eat - then at least he's probably not in danger. If any of those things change, you can grab your baby and barge in on in there!
I'd stay away from hamburger; maybe just give some canned/mashed potatoes, or white rice for now.
