Catch your baby in the act. If not...it is a puppy and they do such things. When Stomper was younger (he is now 9 months) he ate our walls, bite through our home theater system, ate all my bras (he still does this if I don't put them away!), shoes, etc. They do this!!! They like to chew when they are teething. Good luck.
