Default My heart stopped yesterday

Fortunately we were able to get my heart started again.

My husband went out the front door to move his car into the driveway. I opened the door to yell something at him and Adie went running out toward the street at top speed. My husband was backing the car up and she was heading straight toward him.

I called her and she stopped dead in her tracks, turned around and ran right to me. What a relief! You can imagine how glad I am that I trained her to come when called. I was so afraid that in her excitement she would ignore me or be slow to respond, but she was a good girl to be so obedient. I won't comment on her being bad for running out the door in the first place.

Has anyone been successful at teaching their babies not to slip through the front door. I never take My dogs out that way without having a leash on them and I always carry the little ones out so none of them are used to going out that way! I thought that was going to help with issues like that and it has with Ivan and Cassie. HELP!
