Hi~ I'm finally taking Madison for his first set of vaccinations this morning but I wanted to check here first .....he has to have these to be neutered, so I'm going along with their routine (I'm taking him to our ASPCA low cost clinic, which is extremely good), but I'm a little concerned after reading a few things here about vaccinations and rabies, and looking at Max's vaccination schedule.

What they give is DHPPC (I don't think I have any choice in this if this is where he's going to be neutered, which he is....after that, I can make the decision on when/if we re-vaccinate) AND, I believe they are intending to give him his Rabies shot too. Is this a good idea to have it given at the same time? I think I remember my vet telling me that they don't give rabies at the same time as the others? Is that right? And if that's so, how long after the first set of vaccines, should he get the rabies? He's going to be getting 2 sets of these (along with Bordatella, b/c I DO use a groomer and there are a lot of other dogs there when I take them), 3 weeks apart with his neuter sched. for June 10th.
