My vet did the same thing. "Are you sure he is a purebred," he asked, eyeing Storms' floppy ears. I have papers, so yes, I said. I saw the mom and dad, so yes, I said. "Yorkies are usually 4 pounds or smaller," he says, nearly turning Storm upside down to look at his rounded puppy belly.

So, yes, I am looking for a new vet. I will finish my vaccinations at this vet, but then we are moving on. Storm is 15 weeks tomorrow, and last Saturday he was 6.5 pounds. Mom was 4 and dad was 5. I would rather he not be close to 20 pounds, simply because he sleeps in the bed with me and he takes enough room as it is at 6 pounds...but I wanted a "bigger" yorkie...I have 2 boys, and I knew I needed one that could play a little rough and not get hurt so easy.
