Some Yorkies grow fast and top out at a young age and that may be the case here. Also, no matter what size the parents were you can always have a throw back to another relative. You know...like a red headed child or one that's taller than the others or has a bigger nose...sometimes you can see something of grandparents, aunts or uncles in them.

If she wants the ears up she'll have to have the hair shaved from them and possibly do some taping...that may help. At 4 months the pup is teething too so the ears will go up and down until they are done.

Bottom line is this...if your Mom loves her Yorkie she shouldn't worry about the size...after all, it's the love that matters!
