I had a friend who worked at Pet Land (before we knew what puppy mills were) the would get their dogs every Wednesday. I happened to be at the mall one Wednesday, I saw a van full of puppies (just a crappy older van I doubt there was air conditioning it was a hot summer day) so the kennel manager would go out to the van and pick the puppies they wanted to sell, a lot of them looked very unhealthy the one that disturbed me the most was weimerainer (sp? sorry) with a very infected docked tail. Also a bernise mountian dog was picked out who infected half the kennel and the staff with ring worm..a very small hyperglycemic chihuahua died over night because no one was there to know anything was wrong...also the grates in all the cages were rather large so the smaller dogs couldnt even walk without their little feet falling through.
