Neenie is almost 8 years old. She was given to me about 5 months ago. She was a coworker's pet and I had befriended Neenie when Colleen her previous owner sometimes brought her to work. I always wanted a yorkie, so she decided to just give her to me. Colleen found a "sweetheart" on eharmoney and because of her lover's apartment rules was not able to take Neenie along. I feel blessed, but Neenie had a few months of serious grieving to do. She's finally getting used to my son and me. Just in the last few days she seems more spunky and happy; maybe her grieving time is over, and she is finally accepting her new home. I also have more insight into her behavior since becoming a member here, which helps me a lot. She's definitely a social dog and just happy when I am home all day. I started to take her to work with me. She is so good, never barks, whines, or bugs people for attention. She is almost invisible and stays by my side. She lays on her little "security" blanket and patiently waits for me to finish my day; she is so willing to please. She just captured our hearts. In one of the posts I mentioned that Neenie had to have most of her teeth removed because of gingivitis before I got her; that's the reason the tip of her tounge is visible most of the time. I suppose, it definitely gives her some character

It looks cute, but it's still sad.
