Well...I think it will be much harder to crate train if you spoil your dog and let him sleep on the bed.

We were not getting much sleep with Stomper and tried him on the bed for about 2 weeks. He started eating the sheets, so my hubby said "No more!". Stomper hates his crate, unless it is open, so he now sleeps on the carpet in our bedroom. He is happy I think as long as he is near us. Still wakes up at 6 AM every monrning, but he does sleep through the night at 9 months.
