We had named her Lilly, since we had to put Daisy to sleep, and her mom is Jasmine... well I wanted to stay with the "theme" lol. Her AKC name will be "Lilly of the Mississippi Valley" since we live in a valley by the mississippi river.
Thank you for the responses... it was a very emotional time, and I am glad it is behind us so to speak. We do have three more deaths hanging in the air, one I believe will happen soon (step father in law) all four of our relatives (2 on my side and 2 on hubbies) were all given up to a year to live this last year... we are in month 4 to month 6. Cancer is an ugly beast sometimes. We lost one on my side this past month... sad thing is only one person is elderly... my uncle was only 56, our aunt that isn't expected to live much longer is only 53... step dad in law is 68, and then my great aunt is "elderly" she isn't giving her age up.... she is in her 80's.
tmi for a yorkie board I suppose, huh?
Anyways, thanks again- I was not sure if I would keep the girl, but when she was born, she needed help breathing and I wonder if that will affect her as she grows? I don't know, as of now she is "normal" but I would hate to sell a pup that possibly down the road could have an issue with not having the same amt of oxygen that she would of had if she was breathing on her own... we did breath into her nose... this went on for at least 10 min. We would have done nothing, but she would take a breath now and then, a shallow one, and just couldn't let her go without trying. She was born the biggest and had a harder time being delivered.... she is now considerbly smaller than her brothers, and isn't growing like they are... but the vet has said she is very healthy... and that I shouldn't worry about anything. She has only gained less than an oz this last week. But she is porportionate (sp?) with very dainty features.
well, I have rambled on way too much...
have a great day, I better get some work done... lol. |
