And if you can't find Nutristat or Nutrical, plain old Karo syrup from the grocery store works, too. My pup was hypoglycemic twice and the vet suggested I put a little Karo in his drinking water each day until he got over the hump and got a little stronger/bigger and a better eater.

Also, another life-saver: Hypoallergenic baby wipes! They are great if there are any poopy accidents clinging to puppy's hair or throw-up.
