Generally I have read the prefered in line breedings are between say...uncle and neice....aunt and nephew.

It's hard to describe how to read a pedigree that's written out...I'll try...
You have Madeline's name....behind her would be two names..the sire and dam's (mom and dad). From the sire (dad) will be two more names...the sire and dam (mom) of that dog. Same thing on the dam's side...those dogs would be Madeline's grandparents.

Btw, sometimes registered names are very very close...you can double check to make sure it's the same name.

Clear as mud??? LOL.
