I donnou if i got it right...you think you have fleas in the back yard but not in the frontyard? If it is so...i doubt it, fleas and ticks are very resourcefull to get to where they want to be. If possible i would spray the garden and backyard, it will not only kill fleas but will keep many insects away as well. Frontline will not wash off, it goes in the blood stream since it is absorved by the skin so don;t worry about that option. For the home you can use foggers, sprays, powders and even solutions to clean the floor. You can also wash Gidget blankets and beds with hot water.
