I just recieved my fuel bill for my home, in March it was $109.64 ,in April it was $35.34, I bought a new electric dryer and heat with electric (heat pump) and I knew my dryer was working overtime because of it's age so was thrilled to see a dramatic change since buying the new dryer. Well got my bill today and it jumped to $172 and some change
, it's been cold here but like I said we use electric to heat with and the only thing that gas is used for is the hot water heater and I know I dont use that much hot water. Well hubby was livid, so he gets on the phone and after fighting with the computer finally gets a human to talk to, he went out and read the meter and come to find out someone dosent know how to read them cause we only owe $29.00 now. He told the person that with the price of gas and the wages they make you would think someone would know how to read the meter. I am happy that we only owe that amount but still seems alittle high just for a hot water heater. Now it makes me wonder about the $109.64 I paid in March. I really dont know how they think people can keep going on like this.
