If the tick wasn't inbedded in his skin yet then the Revolution wouldn't have worked yet. The tick has to bite and inbed in able to get it to die, just like a flea. Your dog can still get fleas on them, but once they bite, they die. That is how I understood the way Revolution worked, our Daisy is on it too. We live in Ky and this year is already bad with ticks. I have pulled 2 out of my scalp, 2 out of my daughter's scalp, 1 off of each of my 2 son's and not to mention the 20 or so that we have gotten off my husband's clothing and skin after hunting.
