So Maverick is 6 months old now! He is doing GREAT!! I can't believe how much I love my little guy. He is everything I thought he would be and more. Of course I wasn't prepared for the potty training issues we've had but I'm crate training him and that has helped A LOT. He hasn't had any poo accidents and very little pee accidents in a few weeks. I have him on a food schedule...kind of. He sleeps with me every single night and I love that. He is very lovable and just fun to be around. My big bad Marine of a husband also has fallen for him. Even though he doesn't like to admit it. He calls him MUTT all the time. I'm like he's not a MUTT. LOL It's funny though. He said that Maverick needed a middle name like all of our "real" kids. So we gave him the middle name Johansen. It's kind of a funny joke between us but hey Maverick Johansen works.
We are getting ready to go home to visit for 3 weeks and we can't bring Maverick along. I'm very sad but he is staying with my friend who is a vet tech and she is bringing him along to work with her every day. So I don't feel so bad I just know that I am going to miss him a lot. Anyways I just wanted to let everyone know that Maverick is doing well. I need to take him to the groomers again but here is a recent picture of him. Enjoy!
