Brand new to the site. Decided to check it out after hearing about it from a fellow yorkie owner.
Here's the new addition to our family, Pumpkin! She was born on December 11th and we love her to death! We got her from a breeder about an hour and a half away from where we live. My wife has always loved animals, and I used to have some myself, but I wasn't too interested in getting one. She had been bugging me to get one, and she knew I liked yorkies since my friend from high school had one and I liked them. She said she didn't really like them as much, but said she's compromise and get a yorkie if I compromised and allowed her to get a dog
There was a posting online for three puppies (they were labeled unnamed 1, unnamed 2 & unnamed 3). 1 was already sold, and 2 had a frown, and my wife wanted to get 3. So we pull up to the breeder's house and she takes us to where the dogs are. Of course, 2 comes running up to my wife and my wife picks her up and she starts licking her all over the face. My wife instantly fell in love and said "I don't care which one we picked before, this is the one!" It's 100% true that they pick you and you don't pick them!
So as you can see in the picture, we definitely got 2. But don't let that frown fool you! She's so playful and so happy and I can tell you that neither of us compromised. We love her to death and she's is the best thing that's happened to us. I'm also very protective of her and my wife was shocked as she's never seen me be that protective of anything. But that's what love can do to ya.
So needless to say, she is such a joy in our life and we wouldn't trade her for anything in the world.
