I use the little cosmetic sponges. They are cut into triangles which helps getting into the corners, especially on the little ones. I dip them in warm water; they work really well. Once I get the gunk softened, I comb through starting with coarse teeth and finishing with a flea comb.To dis-infect the sponges, I rinse them and put them in the microwave for 2 minutes.
