This is probably going to be an unpopular thing to say, but I have to warn you. Scooter had a collar on last week out in the backyard. Thank goodness I was out there with him, because he ran back of the azaleas and all of a sudden he started screaming at the top of his lungs. Well, we bought this house a year ago, and the shrubs are really thick! I went tearing through and apparently the people who used to own the house had left a tomato cage back there and it had fallen over and gotten tangled in the shrubs. Scooter's collar was hung and the cage had twisted it and he was choking to death! By the time I got to him, he could no longer make a sound or move. Had I not been there, he would have died. I'll never forget those first screams. I got to thinking that the same thing could happen on low branches inside the shrubbery, so....no more collars for Scooter! Please be careful.
