All, please, please, please do some checking on the Lepto shot!!! My sister (vet tech) was at the vet convention in Maryland and they had a huge training class on this. Many vets have stopped the Lepto shot in small dog breeds due to an adverse reaction causing sickness and sometimes fatal consequences with this shot. The shot is not necessary although helpful but why risk your pet for a shot that is not needed. Only in certain parts of the country would it be necessary to have a lepto shot. This shot is usually administered when you have the rabbies vaccine done.

Ask the vet what shots he is giving and YOU make the choice. It's your pet and you have the right to know. Why risk their life for something that isn't needed.
