Congratulations Ms. Stormy!!! Bet it was hot in Georgia even though it was overcast. My family is in MS and sometimes I don't think it ever cools down. Usually at Christmas time we are running around in short sleeves.

I've had a son and now a daughter attending KU in Lawrence, KS. Close to the football field there is an archway that, as a tradition, no one walks through it until they graduate. When my son graduated, he just walked through the archway and down the hill to the stadium and exited. Probably over half do that. They pick their papers up somewhere else. The graduates' attire under their gowns gets fairly interesting

since very few close their gowns. Think my son only wore some little jogging shorts and a tie. Quite a few decorate their hats with something pertaining to their degree. I know at K-State the ceremony is very restrained and solemn. Guess each school has their own traditions.
