He's scared, and you are exhausted! Believe me, after going through the puppy nights very recently I feel your pain. I promise this will pass. I have had my puppy for 3 weeks now and he's doing great now, but he was so subdued and scared on the car ride home and the first two days after we got him I was telling everybody what a calm little guy he was (although crying at night for three solid nights...then it stopped like turning off the faucet!) Boy was I wrong about the "calm little guy"! He is a little firecracker now! He plays all day long. My other two are slowly accepting him into the pack even though he tries to force his way in.

Try to stay calm and be patient and you will be rewarded. I promise he won't cry forever!
