It doesn't seem to do much to me. Doesn't grind a lot of nail so I have to do it over and over at which point I am sweating, my son has a death grip on the dogs and is getting his face scratched off.
Also, it sorta 'sucked up" my boys nail, it got sucked in between the grinder and the side if that makes any sense. Luckily, like I said, it doesn't seem to grind much, no damage, but sure scared me.
I just think if your dogs don't like their nails cut, they probably won't tolerate this either. That is my experience.
