You are so welcome, Unfortunately there is not much that can be done! Keeping dogs in tiny cages for 15 years is not a crime. As long as they are clean and have adequate shelter from the elements, fresh food and water the U.S.D.A. are okay with this. If you log onto the U.S.D.A. site and look at the requirements they do have the size of cage you must have according to the size of your dogs. They must be able to turn around without their head touching the top or their front or back end touching the sides. Can you imagine our little fur baby living like this? This is legal!!!!!
The only thing that will stop this is for people like me and you to not give our money to people who do this kind of thing for a living. If these commercial breeders have no demand then their pups are worth nothing. Only then will it stop.
I tried everything but stand on my head for help. Animals are a crop just like corn....if we stop eating corn then the farmers stop growing it. Sad thing is trying to get people to understand. I really didn't and to be honest Bentley my Wire Hair Fox Terrier came from Petland five years ago. I sentenced his mother to a life of misery. Anytime we walk into a pet store or buy a dog off of the net and you have not been to see it yourself you most likely are supporting a puppy mill. Thank you for caring!
